Schedule interviews, provision licences, and mark remote attendance without leaving Indian HRM.
Connect Indian HRM to your Zoom account and the two systems talk to each other live. Interviews booked in the hiring pipeline create Zoom meetings automatically. New hires get a Zoom licence the day they join. When a WFH employee joins the standup, their check-in lands in attendance. Offboard someone in HRM and their Zoom seat frees up the same evening, so you stop paying for licences nobody uses. Built for Indian SMEs running hybrid teams across Bengaluru, Pune, Gurugram, and tier-2 cities where half the team dials in from home.
Indian teams reclaim an average of 6 unused Zoom seats within the first quarter, roughly ₹1.1 lakh a year at list pricing.
What the Zoom integration does
Interviews become Zoom links automatically
Book an interview slot in the hiring pipeline and Indian HRM creates the Zoom meeting, adds the panel, and emails the candidate the joining link.
New hires get a Zoom licence on day one
When you mark an employee as joined, HRM provisions their Zoom account with the right licence tier so IT is not doing it by hand at 9am.
Remote attendance from meeting joins
For WFH and field staff, joining a scheduled Zoom standup writes a check-in against their attendance record with the actual join timestamp.
Offboarding frees the seat the same day
Move an employee to exited in HRM and their Zoom licence is deprovisioned that evening, so you stop paying for dormant seats.
Leave status flows into scheduling
Approved leave in HRM blocks that person from being auto-added to Zoom interview panels, so nobody schedules a call with someone on PL.
Recordings attach to the candidate file
Cloud recordings and interview links from Zoom get logged back against the candidate profile in HRM for the panel to review later.
Setup in four steps
- Open the Zoom integration in Settings — Go to Settings, Integrations, Communication and click Connect on the Zoom card. You need admin rights on both HRM and your Zoom account.
- Authorise with your Zoom admin account — Sign in through Zoom's OAuth screen and approve the requested scopes for users, meetings, and recordings. Takes about a minute.
- Map licence tiers and default panel — Choose which Zoom licence each employee grade gets on joining and set the default interview host, then save.
- Pick your sync direction and cadence — Decide whether HRM pushes to Zoom, pulls attendance back, or both, and set how often join events sync (every 15 minutes by default).
- Run a test interview — Book a dummy interview to confirm the meeting is created, the panel is invited, and the link reaches the candidate, then go live.
Why customers use this integration
- Stop paying for idle Zoom seats: offboarding auto-releases licences, cutting spend on ex-employees who left months ago.
- IT provisions and deprovisions accounts through HRM instead of raising tickets, saving roughly 20 minutes per hire and exit.
- Recruiters book interviews once and the Zoom link, calendar invite, and candidate email go out together with no copy-paste.
- Managers see accurate check-ins for hybrid staff because a genuine meeting join counts as attendance, not a self-reported time.
- Audit trails stay clean: every provisioning, deprovisioning, and interview meeting is logged with who did it and when.
Zoom integration FAQs
Is the sync one-way or two-way?
Two-way. Indian HRM pushes to Zoom (create users, schedule interview meetings, deprovision on exit) and Zoom pushes back to HRM (meeting join events for attendance and cloud recording links against candidate files). You can turn off either direction in the integration settings if you only want one.
How often does data sync?
Provisioning and interview creation happen in real time the moment you save the action in HRM. Attendance join events sync every 15 minutes by default, and you can tighten that to every 5 minutes or widen it to hourly under sync cadence.
What do I need before I can connect?
An admin login on Indian HRM and a Zoom account with admin or owner rights, plus at least one paid Zoom plan (the free tier does not expose the user provisioning APIs). The whole setup, including OAuth and a test interview, takes under ten minutes.
What happens if a sync fails or a licence is not available?
Failed actions land in the integration's error log with the exact Zoom error message and a retry button. If you run out of available Zoom licences during provisioning, HRM flags the hire as pending-licence and notifies the admin instead of failing silently, so IT can buy a seat and retry.
Does joining a Zoom meeting really count as attendance for remote staff?
Only for meetings you mark as attendance-eligible, such as a daily standup. HRM reads the actual join and leave timestamps from Zoom, so the check-in reflects when the person genuinely connected. Office and biometric attendance stays separate and is not affected.
