Direct cloud push

Biomax devices use the same push protocol family as eSSL and ZKTeco. Enter a server address and port on the device, register its serial number, and it connects without any PC software.

Shift-aware processing

Punches are matched to rostered shifts, grace periods, and week-offs, so late marks, half-days, and overtime follow your policy, not a default.

Night shifts handled

A 6 AM punch after a 10 PM check-in closes the night shift on the right day instead of opening a broken second-day record.

Duplicate and replay guard

Devices re-send punches until acknowledged. Indian HRM detects the repeats and applies each punch once, so a retry never turns into a zero-hour day.

Payroll on device truth

Present, absent, half-day, and OT flow into payroll runs, so PF, ESI, and LOP are computed on verified punches instead of a typed sheet.

Setup in four steps

1. Register the device — Under Settings, Attendance Integration, add an entry with device type Biomax and the serial number from the device menu or the sticker on the back.
2. Enter the server settings — On the terminal, open the communication or cloud server menu and enter the server address and port shown on your integration screen.
3. Set clock and timezone — Pick the device timezone in Indian HRM and set the machine clock to match, so punch times read correctly.
4. Match employee codes — Enrol each person on the device with a user ID equal to their Indian HRM employee code. Unmatched punches wait in a needs-mapping list.
5. Test and go live — Punch once, confirm it in Punch Logs, then repeat the same settings on every Biomax machine you run.

Biomax Biometric integration FAQs

Do I need any software on a PC to connect Biomax?

No. The terminal itself pushes punches to Indian HRM over the internet. You enter a server address and port in the device menu, register the serial number in your dashboard, and the connection is live. There is no agent, no always-on desktop, nothing to reinstall after a power cut.

Which Biomax models work?

Any Biomax terminal with cloud or ADMS-style push support, which covers most current fingerprint and face models. If your model is older and only supports LAN software, you can still connect it through your existing attendance tool or a small script posting to the Indian HRM punch API.

What happens during an internet outage?

The device keeps punches in its own memory and re-sends them once the connection returns. Indian HRM de-duplicates on arrival, so the backlog fills in the missed hours without creating double entries.

How do punches map to employees?

By employee code. The user ID enrolled on the Biomax device must equal the employee code in Indian HRM. Punches that do not match any employee are held in a needs-mapping list in Punch Logs, so you can spot and fix a wrong ID in minutes.

Can I restrict which devices are allowed to send punches?

Yes, two ways. Only serial numbers you have registered are accepted at all, and you can additionally whitelist your office IP addresses per device, so a punch from anywhere else is rejected.
