Attendance tracking software records when each employee starts and ends work, tracks breaks, computes overtime, and hands payroll the data it needs to pay people accurately. Indian HRM tracks and monitors attendance across biometric devices, GPS punches, geofence zones, QR kiosks, and web check-in, so one system watches office staff, factory shifts, and field teams together. Offline punches sync once the network returns, and every record lands in the same India-ready reporting layer built for Shops & Establishment registers and labour audits.

Track every check-in, every shift, every store in real time.

Eight tracking modes, one attendance log

Different parts of an Indian workforce punch differently, so the tracker accepts eight modes out of the box. Fingerprint devices connect over push API or polling, with real-time punch sync from factory floors, retail stores, and head office. Field staff punch with GPS plus a selfie; the address resolves automatically and gets stamped on the attendance record. Geo-fenced office punch restricts mobile check-ins to a defined office or site radius, and out-of-range punches are flagged for manager review.

Workers without smartphones use a daily QR printed at the entry gate or a 4-digit PIN. Warehouses and manufacturing units use tap-to-punch RFID readers, with cards mapped to employee IDs and automatic shift detection. Desk teams get marked present when they connect to office Wi-Fi or log in from a whitelisted IP. And when a punch is genuinely missed, manager-approved manual entry covers it, with a full audit trail of who approved what. Toggle selfie capture on and the mobile app saves a photo with every check-in, so HR has a visual reference when something looks off.

What tracking actually buys you

A real-time dashboard shows who is in, out, late, on leave, or on field across every location, filtered by department, shift, manager, or branch. Employees raise regularisation requests for missed punches with a reason; managers approve or reject with comments, and bulk regularisation handles month-end clean-up. Loss-of-pay applies automatically for unapproved absences, configurable per policy with grace days and weekly-off rules. Late-coming and early-leaving reports run daily, weekly, and monthly, and can trigger warnings or deductions based on your policy.

Shift and roster aware monitoring

The tracker handles multi-shift, rotational, and split-shift patterns. Rosters publish in advance and get matched against actual punches every night, so a late mark on a night shift is judged against that shift, not a default day schedule. Each location carries its own holiday calendar, weekly-off pattern, shift templates, and overtime rule. Reports roll up at the org level for HR, while per-site managers see only their location.

Overtime computed by rule, not by memory

Define your overtime rule once: 1.5x to 2x of ordinary wages depending on the applicable Factories Act or state rules, applied after 8 hours per day or 48 hours per week. The system compares scheduled hours against worked hours and applies the multiplier. Overtime flows into payroll automatically, with no spreadsheet in between.

Statutory registers from tracking data

Attendance data generates the registers inspectors ask for. Form 25 (the overtime register), Form 12, the muster roll, and the leave register required under your state's Shops and Establishments Act come straight from punch data, with no rekeying. Wage register and overtime register exports are formatted for labour audits and inspector visits, and weekly offs, national holidays, and festival holidays are enforced per state policy.

Reports and the payroll handoff

HR can pull a daily attendance summary, monthly attendance register, late-marks report, absentee report, overtime report, regularisation log, and the legal compliance registers, and schedule any of them to email HR or the location manager on a fixed day. The attendance summary then flows straight into payroll. No CSV exports, no re-keying, no reconciliation marathon. Manual attendance is a tax on every payroll cycle; track it once and payroll comes out right.
